Food festival to cook up a tre

COOKERY demonstrations, stalls and music will be entertaining visitors to a food festival.

Congleton Food and Drink Festival takes place on Sunday in the town centre from 10.30am until 4.30pm.

High Street will be closed from 8am until 6pm to allow the stalls to be set up and cleared away.

The music theme will 微型气泵 be jazz and the food theme buy local and grow local.

This year, the organisers have introduced Asian, Turkish, Caribbean and Mediterranean food, along with a Tibetan kitchen.

Attractions include healthy cooking demonstrations from chef Sam Newton, from Plus Dane Housing, Bromley Farm Development Trust, the Allotment Association and Master Composting demonstrations.

There will also be a festival showcase in the town hall with cook- offs and stalls.
