Hamilton moviegoers will be watching 3D screens by early next year as the formerly named Skycity Cinemas are overhauled by new owner Amalgamated Holdings Ltd.
Gucci 6800 ReplicaAmalgamated Holdings, which bought the Skycity Entertainment Group late last year, said 3D would be installed in all its theatres from early 2011.
Gucci 6800 ReplicaThe theatres nationwide, including the sites at Centreplace and Chartwell in Hamilton, are being rebranded Event Cinemas. They will also be refurbished over the next 18 months.
