Encroachment invades posh Zone

LUDHIANA: Like most of the city areas, encroachments ail Zone D - one of the most posh areas here - too. Zone D has many posh residential localities. Two years ago, the authorities had recognised 2,092 encroachments in the area, but have removed only about 33% louis vuitton handbags of these. Though officials could not provide the exact number of illegal structures removed, they said they have removed 650 to 700 encroachments.

Massive encroachments were identified in Jawahar Nagar Camp - about 1,009. The authorities had conducted an anti-encroachment drive in this area with great enthusiasm, but could not achieve the desired results, with the menace raising its head again.

Some residents of Zone D had cooperated with MC and removed encroachments on their own. But during these drives, officials paid attention only towards extended platforms and removed over 3,000 of these in handbags & purses front of residential buildings. handbags & purses

Sources said areas like Malhar Road, BRS Nagar, Kitchlu Nagar, Civil Lines and other adjoining places, where MC had put red marks around illegal structures in the beginning of this year, continue to have encroachments, as the authorities were yet to initiate steps. And, in some of the places, residents have covered the red marks with paint, they added.
